What year are we in?

Anyone know what year we're functioning in? I'm trying to get some DoB's nailed down in the med powerpoint. I think we mention a year somewhere.

Okay so we have the Ghosts established in 2186 with at least eight generations having occurred.

A generation today is about 25 years (generations increase as people live longer). I would think that in our world, a generation is probably about 30 years.

That said, if the Ghost nebula occurred in 2186, with about eight generations of 30 years, that's another 240 years. (holy smokes!)

So we should be roughly in 2426.

That would mean...

2100 - Jonas Isley announces his new space fleet

2186 - Ghost Nebula found

2393 - Nova born

2400 - 7, Nova's mother, Celestine, is pregnant with her baby brother. the child is lost during a series of Isley experiments. Celestine's memory is erased.

2414 -Twelve years ago – Avery Crane promoted to Captain, given the Valdosta.
Nova graduates from college and pursues internships aboard space ships in counseling and computer career fields.

2416 -Ten years ago – Galactic Campaign begins; Sullivan Gull flees to Earth from Neville; Amy Parr dies

2417 - Nine years ago – Galactic Campaign ends; GAF and the Global Administration form; Harlan Lincoln leaves the Navy

2418 - Eight years ago – Avery Crane court-martialed, loses the Valdosta

2420 - Six years ago – Sullivan Gull signs on aboard the Gina-Lee

2421 - Five years ago – Jordan Macree promoted to Sergeant

2422 - Four years ago – Harlan Lincoln signs on aboard the Gina-Lee; Avery Crane assigned to command the Insight

2423 - Three years ago – Nova and Jackson Hazard meet, part ways three months later; Nova settles in Calivada; Jackson Hazard settles on Naughtshead;

2424 - Two years ago – Avery Crane assigned to command the Ambriel; Cotton Parr leaves Havanista and settles at the New Ford colony

2425 -One year ago – Jordan Macree assigned to the Ambriel

2426 - The Valdosta goes to examine the anomaly in the carina arm of the galaxy, and returns later that year, discovering the gate to the andromeda galaxy

2428 - session 3 start

I'm trying to nail this down because 1) it means space flight has been going on in some form for quite some time and 240 years puts a lot of perspective on things for our anthropologist people.

2404- Sadie born
2416- Colonial Skirmishes, Sadie was 12
2417- Oldest sibling, Jeanie, gets attacked and medically discharged
2420- Sadie, 16, enters University. Studies Cultural Anthropology
2423- Sadie graduates with flying colors, Enlists.
2424- Fast tracks through basic and is accepted into the Diplomatic Corps
2425- Assigned to Tintagel Station as a Cultural Officer and begins training/studying for officer exams.
2426- Re-asigned to the Valdosta. ispLarp 2. Sadie is 22.

2383 - Cotton is born on Jan. 23 at the Laramie GenCattle Ranch in the Greater Wyoming Farming Protectorate.
2401 - Cotton joins Navy ROTC, agreeing to provide one year of service for every year of education the Navy helps to pay for. Goes to the University of Colorado in Boulver to major in Pre-Med.
2404 - Graduates near the top of his class. He is accepted at Fairwinds Medical School in New Francisco, on the island of California, one of the best med schools in the world. Meets Amy Bahra.
2407 - After three years of flirting, refusals, persistent pursuit, and distraction due to crushing load of work, Amy and Cotton begin dating.
2409 - Cotton and Amy graduate from Fairwinds, the top one and two in their class, respectively. They are married two months later, and after a two-week honeymoon, they enter Officer training. Three months later, they officially enlist in the US Navy, assigned to a Marine Off-world Medical unit.
2416 - Galactic War breaks out. Cotton meets Avery Crane. Amy dies.
2417 - War ends. Cotton given compassionate medical leave from the United States Navy and begins to wander the colonies.
2419 - Cotton nearly dies on Hipon colony. He is taken in by Volen, the chief shaman.
2419-20 - Cotton spends time learning from the Hiponi after he recovers from his illnesses. Learns new methods of holistic healing and energy manipulation, which he combines with his regular medical skills. Leaves to continue traveling.
2425 - Cotton arrives on New Ford, discovers that conditions are remarkably poor for a colony so close to Port Alhambra. When a plague breaks out, Cotton stays to combat it. After the colony's doctor dies during the epidemic, Cotton chooses to stick around to fill the void.
2426 - Cotton agrees to join the crew of the Valdosta as an independent Isley Contractor. While on-mission, discovers a new use for hypersleep technology as a fantastic surgical assistant. Accepts job offer with Isley as the Executive Director of their Hypersleep Research and Application Division. Returns to the Valdosta for its return to the Carina Arm.

2399 – James is recovered from space port after having run away. Was attempting to gain access to a ship going off planet. Removed foster care after brief investigation of foster parents.

2403 – James receives Junior Pilots licenses: Air Based. Pilots Licenses upgrade to Orbital and Near Planetary.

2417 - War ends. Cotton given compassionate medical leave from the United States Navy and begins to wander the colonies.

2428 - The Valdosta and crew lead the Templar fleet back to the Carina arm and to Andromeda, combatting the Crimson. (session 3) Most of the fleet is destroyed or lost.
2428 - a few weeks after session 3 end - the crew "rescues" Crane from Misery.
Nova discovers she is pregnant
2428 - three months after session 3 end - the crew travels back in time to Epcot
2428 - six months after session 3 end - session 4 (Josh and Brit's game)
2428 - Nova gives birth to Orion, the ship is reassigned to diplomatic corps and the GAF prepares to go to war
2428 - Two months past session 4 - session 5 ("season finale")
2428 - The crimson are engaged in the Andromeda Galaxy. The Valdosta is taken by "The Hunter" (Future Orion). The crew barely escapes, taking refuge aboard the Baxley. They are officially listed as MIA and plan to go after the Valdosta (plan for session 6 game)

Christ Almighty, but my continuity is SO BAD. I'm so sorry. This is what comes of writing a game you think you'll never play again so you just fling dates around like a spaz.
