(Admin Note - The Valdosta is only mentioned briefly here, but there will be an entire post section for it later, including deck plans and system specs.)

There are twenty-eight solar systems discovered so far in the galaxy, eighteen of which have one or more planets that are inhabitable by humans. There are dozens of colonies, now united as part of the Terran nation.

Below are the locations pertinent to the game.

Non-Ships:

Neville (pronounced ‘neh-VEE’, rather than ‘NEH-vil’) – a planet in the Orion arm of the galaxy, home to the Carolina, Prezchek and Ilio colonies.

Carolina Colony – Originally a United States-held colony whose colonists fought against the colonists at Prezchek and Ilio during the Galactic Campaign’s colonial skirmishes. Now, all three belong to the Global Administration.

Naughtshead (pronounced ‘nots-head’) – a refinery on the edge of the Perseus arm of the galaxy, taking in ore mined from asteroids and moons. Military owned and operated, with contracts almost exclusively with Isely Corp.

Calivada – a state in the United States, comprised of the old California and Nevada states. Home to one of the more impressive and larger Ghost oubliettes.

Port Alhambra – A station orbiting Earth, serving as a major travel hub for spaceships.

Ships:

The Valdosta – A Georgian-class ship, comfortable and clean exploration vessel. Made famous by its impressive actions during the Galactic Campaign.

The Gina-Lee – An independent freighter rig for hire.

The Ambriel and the Insight – Two smaller Marine vessels captained at one time or another by Avery Crane.

(If I've forgotten anything thus far, let me know.)

New Location:

The Altanta - A Georgian-class ship, and one of the first put out of it's ship class. As a result, the ship was prone to frequent trips back to dock for refurb and refit, as new glitches in the Georgian class ships were found. Jokingly referred to as the "Buggiest ship in This Man's Navy". Nova and Jackson met here.

The Yorkshire - A UK-class ship, more commonly known as an "Yukkie", the UK Class ships were roughly frigate sized and notorious for being able to outmanuever larger ships due to an upgrade to the ship's engines that made it one of the faster vessels of its size. Lt. Jackson Hazard's assignment during the Colonial Skirmishes, and recorded of note in his record for the events around one of the moon's of Televetica wherein he managed to elude three larger ships from the Prezcheck Colony until reinforcements could arrive.

Planets

Cerrellan - this rocky world is generally considered the "ugliest rock in space" by anyone approaching it from space. Grey and rocky, it has a cold and barren surface, with very few arable areas. However, underground, it is rich a vibrant, with vast underground mushroom farms, bug farms, and mineral deposits that are rich for mining. They are also famous for their breathtaking underground geode clusters, some of which can be big enough to fit Manhattan. The also have a unique geode that can form long, perfectly circular tubes that can stretch for miles, and can range in width from the size of a baseball to a half-mile in diameter. They can range in color to a pale-clear icy coloration, to red, blue, purple, green, and grey. The lighter to color, the rarer and more expensive the tubular crystal formation.

Praxonis - This world had a tragic flaw in its terraforming design - namely, the whole worlds was toxic. Plant life flourished, but a substance toxic to mammals spread in all the plants, the ground, and any potable water. The world was almost abandoned until an entomologist discovered over a hundred different varieties of insects on the planet that could eat the food without difficulty and neutralized the toxins in the water, the soil, and the plant life. These insects could be consumed safely, and not only were a good source of protein, but also tended to preserve the viitamins and minerals of the foods they ate in their bodies, as well. The colonists even discovered that if certain bugs ate certain plants, even certain tastes were preserved in the bugs, as well. This is why Cotton can claim to have eaten a cockroach-like insect that tastes like oranges.

PostSubject: Tokyo-class Ships   Locations. Icon_minitimeWed Jul 08, 2009 1:38 pm

The newest Isely fleet, launched seven years ago. The Tokyo-class ships are mid-sized, state-of-the-art, very streamlined and rather luxurious. There are twenty-three ships in the fleet, each named after a special ward in the actual city of Tokyo. These are:

Adachi -- Recently Refurbished
Arakawa -- Currently Being Refurbished
Bunkyō
Chiyoda
Chūō
Edogawa
Itabashi
Katsushika
Kita
Kōtō
Meguro
Minato
Nakano
Nerima
Ōta
Setagaya -- In Dry-Dock
Shibuya
Shinagawa
Shinjuku
Suginami
Sumida
Taitō -- Under Construction
Toshima -- Under Construction

While each ship varies slightly, the basic designs are all the same.
